Phosphorus Media

Today I came accross a really neat website that delivers different ways to create interactive advertisments. This website shows a whole bunch of different interactive wall and floor advertisments, and shows how they work and are used by a person.

This website proves how the creativity and ideas are endless when it comes to how companies can interact with consumers. It is very interesting to see what people are now capable of compared to traditional advertisements.  Companies are becoming more aware that consumers understand what they are able to do, and in order to keep them interested and engaged then they have to create ads accordingly.

It makes you wonder what kinds of ads our children will be seeing, although they are no longer something you just see, but something you can get involved with and understand the brand more in debt.

I think everyone following my blog should take a few minutes of your time to check out this website. You will be amazed at some of the different ads.

Salty's Missing!!!!

Knorr's Sidekicks have developed a great way to advertise their strategy of 25% less sodium. They have put together a very effective campaign that is capturing to consumers. They have protrayed "less salt" as being a good thing but at the same time made it almost depressing. The little cartoon salt looks so sad in every commercial and for some reason everyone that watches it feels for him even though it doesnt have feelings itself. My favourite commercial they ran is the one where salty is missing and pepper is putting up the signs on the poles and walls. The story line they developed in these commercials is so creative and they knew that this would connect with the consumer. They did a great job of creating something that the consumer will become engaged in and relate to each time they purchase. This will be a commercial that i remember for ever and when i go to purchase a sidekick meal i will instantly think of it.

For all you creative folks out there!

I came accross a really cool website while I was stumbling (again) today and I had to write a blog about it and share it with others. I know in the advertising program there are a lot or creative, artistic and talented students. This website is completely focused on members portfolios. This website consists of 350,000+ portfolios of all different kinds. Some of the porfolios I looked at consisted of photography, illustrations, graphic design, animations paintings and many others. This is a great way to show off your talent and look at other amazing portfolios. It also gives your work a clean and professional look and feel that may help in the future.

This website is very easy to navigate and follow. It provides you with useful tips if your interested in signing up and uploading your very own portfolio. Even if you're not interested in making or uploading your personal porfolio, you should still check out the site and look at some of the work on it. Some porfolios are very inspiring and captive. CHECK IT OUT!!!

Skittles commercials

Every time I see the Skittle commercials during my television shows I question the approach and idea. I have never found them entertaining or funny and still to this day, dont really understand the point of them. One of the latest ones has a guy beginning to age because his roomate is eating the skittles from the hour glass. I really dont understand what that has to do with Skittles and what their image is.
Can someone maybe describe or explain what you think their creative approach is trying to say and deliver. Give me your thoughts and opinions on these commercials, and if you think they are effective or not.

RM Auctions Website

When I first visited this site I noticed it is kept very clean and professional looking. I do however, think that with all of the creative interactive options available on the web now, this site could involved the consumers in a much more appealing/creative way. The upcoming events seem to be kind of hidden at the bottom where it isn't very visable. If RM wants their users to attend these events then maybe it could stand out more or offer a call to action.
It is a very simple site but there seems to be alot of pull down options which can be distracting and alot of information at once, if the user doesn't know what they are looking for. I also think that in the auction section they should make have the pictures of the cars lead you to the same place as the text beside it. Because I notice for myself, that I tend to click on the picture if I want to see the larger image or information about it, rather than the name beside it.
They do have a ton of valid information that is very usful for the consumer that is interested in becoming involved with the auctions. Overall it is pretty easy to navigate around the website and seems to get right to the point.

Subway ad

Hello everyone!
On the creativezone website there was a subway sync ad that was placed on the msn.com homepage. Both ads are interacting with eachother and moving at the same time to really catch the users attention. At first I found this ad to be very affective with placement, design and quality. The colours worked well with the rest of the website but at the same time kept the subway feel.
I decided to click on the ads to see where they lead me to. The top advertisement takes you to a store locator. This allowed you to search for a  Subway store nearest to you. This is a great way of building a relationship with the consumer and informing them of the number of different Subways they can visit.
The second ad however, expands into a half page interactive advertisement. This advertisment isnt seperated well from the rest of the msn homepage, which distracted me from the actual ad. This ad allows the user to move a spinning wheel with different meals on it in both directions. In my opinion it doesnt move very well and doesnt protray the food as appetizing. I think they could have interacted in a better, more creative way with the user that still displays their food as appealing. Let me know what you think of the ad! share your opinions:)

stumbleupon

Im sure everyone is already familiar with the stumbleupon website. But for those who are not involved and dont have an account, i suggest you sign up, it is the perfect time killer! This site allows you to pick topics you are interested in and browse pictures, quotes, stories, videos, funny advertisements etc. I have spent hours upon hours stumbling random pages and usually find something that I think is "cool" or hilarious that I need to send to a friend or family memeber right away. You can pretty well type in any word and find something related to it that will capture your attention.

It is a very interactive site and has thousands of followers who can comment and share thoughts on certain things. This is not only a great place for those who enjoy spending their time searching for their favourite topics, but for advertisers as well. They understand the popularity of this website and realize how easy it is to strategically place ads on certain pages based on what people are interested in. Some of the advertisements I saw today while stumbling include: Pantene contest to win a $10,000 hair to toe spa treatment, Tide, buycostumes.com, Griffin universal remote, ipad 2, Clearly Contacts and many others.
Im sure for many companies the advertisements have turned out to be very affective.

So if you have a few mintues to spare then you should most definately check this website out! Thanks for reading:) Enjoy!!
